Soro's Application
Answers to Questions
Q. What should we call you?;;
A. Nick Name-Soro, Full name Soro Ellis Draken
Q. How long have you been role-playing?;;
A. Umm.. depends on if you count playing pretend as a kid as that can technically be considered LARPING. If you do then I have bene playing since I was about five. If not, well then I first played at the age of seven with my cousin. We did our own version of table top D&D, making up our own rules and painting figurines.
Q. What other genres of role-play have you done?;;
A. As mentioned above I have done some Larping as a kid. after that I switched to table top gaming, which I participated in for a few years on and off. On line RPG really took off for me when I was sixteen and created my first character wolfachex. Soro was soon to follow along with all the rest. I have been pretty loyal to just the one room in that time. I am most familiar with medieval times, supernatural, free form and fantasy.
More recently I have branched off into steam punk and present day slice of life R.P. that includes some magic. In my time I have made over 20 characters including werewolves, vampires, shape shifters, kitsune, demons, half elf, leprechaun, tiefling, dragon, various anthro animals, humans and other unique creations of my own design. I’m still not that great at typing out a fight so I may keep my head down when it comes to combat for now.
Q. Who would you want by your side, Chuck Norris or Jack Sparrow?;;
A. I would like to have Jack Sparrow at my side, because then we could have rum and sing together. Pluses that chumps of hiss is very useful.
Q. Grab the nearest book,turn to page 27 and type line 6. what does it say?;;
A. and he hastily decided that he valued his health more than his pride.
Q. Quick,STRAWBERRIES OR HONEYCOMB?;;
A. But why choose when strawberry Honeycomb is a thing?
Q. Got any suggestions?;;
A. Ummm, no, not yet.

What would your first character be like?;;
Race:
Soro will be an elf with the shifter gene.
History:
Soro’s mother Elincia was born and raised in Heartwood within the realm of Evylon. She lived around other elves and like them worshiped the Daama. She was not much of an adventure, more one to stay home and grow her healing herbs. She had a natural gift for plants and knowing which ones did what. She was never too shy about helping people in need either.
So it was perhaps no surprise when one day a Male Elf ended up on her doorstep looking like he had fallen from some great hight. When she had inquired about this he had refused to tell her all she could get from him was a name, Kaleth, and that he was from Arrowhead in Millrand.
In the months to come she took care of him along with others, though she spent more time with him then she perhaps should. Part of this was because of how mysterious he was. He was a quite man and said little unless asked and even then only saying as much or as little as was needed to answer the question.
He would leave when he was well, returning to her from time to time when he would get injured.Mostly complaining about how difficult it was to get back to the realm he had once come from. She plied him with drink and found out bits and pieces about the realm he came from. She found out he was smiled in the elements of Lightning and in turn revealed her own abilities as a Dreamsage.
More time passed and they had become close friends.Telling etcher things they may not tell others. He had found a way home by now and yet when he could he would see her. their friendship became love and that was when Elincia would find out that her lover was a shifter and in fact was no elf at all. In truth he was a dragon with lovely black scales that shimmered in the light. He revealed that he had warned some mistrust as a shifter and that this was why he had not approached her as his real self. Alnico forgave him for this break in trust and soon the two became pairbonded.
It would be another five years or so before they had their first and only child Soro. A beautiful baby girl who had the red hair of her mother and the blue green eyes of her father. She seemed to be fully elven to them and they never questioned it otherwise. Sadly they would never get to discover what kind of person their daughter would grow up to be as her mother would be killed by Goblins, the child take into the realm of Lizzarkyth into the town of Balinost.
It had been their hope to make the child a slave and sell her off, as children where easier to break then adults, but Soro would stay strong. As she grew up in the slave camp she would travel much, learning how to understand a verity of languages and speaking snippets of them too. Time and time again she would be sold only to be returned when she refused to work or do as she was told. Other times vocally and physically protesting her captors and owners.
In a last ditch attempt to get her to break they would cut out her tongue and take away her voice, blocking her mind as well so that she couldn’t potentially reach out for help that way either. They kept her cadged and physical punishing her if she continued to fight back. In truth Soro was getting close to giving up. She was seven by then and knew nothing but the life of a slave, hope threatening to vanish from her young blue/green hews. Soro had yet to discover that she had abilities that may have otherwise help her out. Lucky though someone would come to rescue Soro from her life as a slave. The being would take her to their home and try to take care of her, though any attempts to handle her got bites, kicks and hits.
when the child finally became a teen she would be guided by her saviour to Everdawn in the realm of Felnova where they would make their new home, having left the old one as it had been burned down. The rest of her history something only known through lore and story.
Personality:
Seemingly cold and uncaring. Doesn’t express her feeling in front of others if she can help it. Few things get to her unless it’s to do with her dead mother or children. She likes to travel and live a simple lifestyle. She has been trained in how to handle herself in high society thanks to her adoptive Gardian. Learning things like how to bow and what fork to use first. Despite all this she is usually rather nice and tends to help others when she can. She is strong willed and doesn’t give up easily.

Role Play Sample
Eldin found himself trapped with another in a cell of sorts. His head hurt and he recalled having been hit on the head before now. The dim light provided by the slim slit of a window casting light onto the green scales of his cellmate, making the scales shimmer like emeralds. Dust particles floating about in the light as Eldin sneezed.
The dragon moved, its own yellow hews falling upon the half elf before he too was looking around at the confines of their cell. There was nothing really special about it, typical brownish grey rocks held together with some kind of mortar. Mould growing along some of the corners and a thin layer of dirt on the solid rock floor. Irons bars in the window keeping them from trying to get out that way along with the same iron in use as there door.
If anything it was more of a surprise to find themselves together as most prisoners were kept separate to prevent them from working together to escape. Eldin tried to move but found his arms bound at his back and his legs in shackles that were attached to the ground. The dragon similarly found himself chained in place, the two captives having little room between them as the cell was not really meant for two.
“I’m not sure who you are but you don’t by any chance know where we might be?” the half elf asked with little hope in his voice.
The dragon shook it’s head “No I don’t. I was taken just like you and just like you was not made aware of where I was going.” The dragon informed Eldin, folding his wings along his back. He had no idea why he had been taken any more than the half elf might.
“Watch your feet there elf… your very close to kicking a very sensitive part of me” The dragon grumbled as Eldin would squirm.
“Apologies, Just trying to see if I can at least get these bonds off my arms. If I could do that then at least I could move into a more comfortable position” Eldin told the dragon, grunting as he tried to work the tight ropes loos.
The dragon rolled it’s eyes “we are in a cell being held captive and your worried about comfort? Perhaps I should just eat you. I’m sure you would be quite comfortable inside m stuck and I bet you will make a better deal than anything the might serve here.” the dragon said, eying Eldin as if he was seriously considering this option.
“If anything you would at least stop kicking me after the initial bite and I wouldn’t have to listen to inevitable indecent wining from you when we find ourselves still captured many moons from now” The young dragon mused aloud.
Elgin gave the dragon a kick, more on purpose this time as a scowl made it’s way across his face. “Hey! No eating me. For all you know I could be useful in getting us out of here. There may come a time you escape and come across a small pathway and you will be wishing you had someone small like me to fit through and open the door from the other side. Or even wishing you had someone small to sneak past guards to get things. Not like they will miss your scaly hide trying to sneak past” he huffed a bit at the end.
At that point the rather heated conversation would be interrupted by one of said guards. (Insert your post here)
